Utilizing a Milling machine, the deteriorated asphalt is recycled by grinding it into small bits.  Typically the existing asphalt is milled to a depth of 1.5 -2.0”.  The milling area is then swept clean and a prime coat is applied before a new Surface Course is placed.   This method is ideal for roadways and parking area where existing curbs and storm sewers are present and are not in need of replacement.
